Oh Snap! Your Take on Our Photographs

February 15, 2013 – May 12, 2013

FORUM GALLERY

Oh Snap! was a collaborative photography project that let you share your work in our gallery. Starting February 21, 2013, Carnegie Museum of Art’s Forum Gallery featured 13 works recently added to our photography collection meant to spark a creative response.

Works from the collection reflect the museum’s growing commitment to photography, both contemporary and historical. Some highlights include a whimsical image by early-20th-century prodigy Jacques Lartigue; a unique album page by mid-century Malian photographer Malick Sidibé; and an elegiac view of our changing city by Pittsburgh-based Charlee Brodsky

Visitors were invited to submit their own photographs inspired by one of the 13 works from the exhibition. Every day, new submitted photographs were printed and hung them alongside their inspirations in the gallery.

Visit the Oh Snap! website to see all of the photographs and submissions!
