Tour Carnegie Museum of Art’s world-class collection of prints from this period, on view for the first time in decades! This rare experience spans two centuries of printmaking, from the masterful innovations of Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt in 16th- and 17th-century Northern Europe to the fantastical prints of Canaletto, Tiepolo, and Piranesi in 18th-century Italy.

Classical Ideal: Exploring Ancient Greece & Rome

Journey through time to the world of ancient Greece and Rome. Carnegie Museum of Art’s distinctive Hall of Architecture houses a unique cast collection of famous monuments and sculptures from antiquity. The visit concludes with classically inspired artwork from later centuries to reveal the enduring quality of classicism throughout time.


Carnegie Sampler: Introduction to the Art and Natural History Collections
90 minutes (45 minutes in each museum)
If you’re not sure what you want to see first, then the Carnegie Sampler is right for you! This overview of the great art and fascinating natural history collections will acquaint you with Pittsburgh’s premier cultural institution.

Booking Your Guided Tour
Tours must be booked four weeks in advance and prepaid one week prior to visit. Changes in attendance must be made at least one week in advance to receive a refund. Admission to both the Museum of Art and Museum of Natural History is included in the fee. Unguided group visits (groups of 10 or more) must be booked at least one week in advance and paid at time of admission. Changes may be made in attendance until time of check-in. Admission to both the Museum of Art and Museum of Natural History is included in the fee. Call the Group Visits Office at 412.622.3289.
