In
1966, the same year Parisian-based fashion designer Paco Rabanne unveiled
his first collection "Twelve Unwearable Dress" made from
plastic, he ordered his first rectangles and squares of aluminum sheet. A
short time later, Rabanne fashioned the same aluminum discs used in
protective aprons for butchers into his avant garde clothing. |
