Aluminum had a major impact on how we lived in the 20th century and will continue to do so in the 21st. The metal will play a significant role in its largest markets–transportation, packaging, and construction. In addition, it will find new and expanded applications, such as robotics, and continue to be a metal of choice in applications for which it is ideally suited, such as outdoor, stacking furniture. As long as design plays a prominent role in consumer objects, aluminum will be part of our daily lives.
