Gallery One, formerly known as the Works on Paper Gallery, is a changing space for smaller-scale temporary exhibitions. Located within the Scaife Galleries, it hosts approximately three exhibitions a year, many of which are drawn from the museum's extensive collections of prints, drawings, and photography. Recent exhibition highlights include Whistler and Rebellion in the Art World; Picturing the City: Downtown Pittsburgh, 2007–2010; Andrey Avinoff: In Pursuit of Beauty; and Caricature, Satire, and Comedy of Manners: Works on Paper from the 18th through 20th Centuries.
