Welcome to the 20045 Carnegie International Feedback Forum for educators! This web site links you to one of the world's largest, global surveys of contemporary art on view at Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, from October 9, 2004 through March 20, 2005. Here you can learn about the artists and ideas in the exhibition and participate in an on-line dialogue about how contemporary art can be used as a catalyst for classroom discussions on a wide range of topics and current issues.
By participating in the Feedback Forum, you will receive:
- regular e-mails from Carnegie Museum of Art with up-to-date information
on the International and prompts that inspire questions and comments about contemporary art;
- ideas for integrating contemporary art into the classroom;
- a forum for communicating with educators from other districts and disciplines;
- the chance to help shape the content of the museum's educational programs for
teachers and students during the 20045 school year, including teacher resources and workshops
(along with the possibility of special events with the artists), gallery experiences for students,
and an on-line site for student projects created in response to the exhibition.
The dialogue aims to explore the extent to which contemporary art stimulates creative thinking and opens the eyes and minds of your students to everyday life. Here's how it works.
Throughout the summer and fall, participants will receive periodic e-mails
from the museum with new information on the International and a question
or two to inspire comments. To join, simply create a profile by clicking
Participate
