Stereoscope,
by William Kentridge, was my favorite piece in the exhibition. I really enjoyed the
animation. The drawings in the animation were very good. There was so much stuff
going on in the pictures. It was really unique and unusual. I think that the
music he picked in the background was excellent. It was both relaxing and
intense. There were many ups and downs. One second stuff was blowing up and the
music was really loud, and the next everything was calm and all you could hear
was a very soft piano playing. This piece made me think of very weird things.
Stuff that I would never normally think of. Kentridge used lots of lines in
his drawings for this piece. I liked it, because the drawings weren't really
neat and clean. They were sort of messy, but they still looked really good.
Kentridge found excellent ways to incorporate color into the piece. He used
color in very interesting ways. This piece stuck out in my mind more so than any
other piece in the entire exhibition.
