One work of art that particularly struck me was Soliloquy V by Sam Taylor-Wood. In my eyes, the picture told a vivid story of a man isolated from society. The man may have felt that he was the only one around, yet one sees that is not the case, for the parking garage pictured below is filled with cars. One normally concludes that a filled parking garage would cause a city to have people around. The man appeared to be emotionally distraught, and because he was withdrawn, he was not aware of his surroundings. Many individuals can relate to this state of being. Because Taylor-Wood chose to illustrate a man displaying such characteristics that society easily relates to, many will find their own connections with Taylor-Wood's work.
