Carnegie Museum of Art is a family-friendly art museum!

Join us for fun activities and classes for all ages! Parent–child Preschool Play Dates introduce your preschoolers to the galleries. Saturday Art Classes for kids ages 5–10 stimulate questions, conversations, and creative play with peers in our galleries and studios. The Art Connection nurtures emerging artists as they move into high school. Weekends are for ARTventures gallery fun, when adults and kids enjoy each other’s company in the presence of great art.

Thursday Ceramic Studio for Middle and High School (ages 11-18)
Five Thursdays: April 7 to May 5, 2016
Two time slots available: 4–6 p.m. and 6–8 p.m.
$140 ($130 CMP members) *Price includes material fee.

Find inspiration in the museum's collection of sculptures and functional objects. Learn hand building and wheel construction techniques, and pursue your favorite methods with clay. Add surface design using colorful glazes. Projects will be fired and available for pick-up 3-4 weeks later.
