Meet the mind behind Forest Devil (1977), the sculpture recently relocated to the museum’s grounds from Mellon Square Park. With works in major museum collections worldwide, Kenneth Snelson brings his focus on the patterns of physical forces in three dimensional space to Pittsburgh for one evening only. He will discuss the process of “tensegrity”—the joining of geometry and engineering to create dynamic, force-filled sculptures which he calls “constellations of form.”
