Carnegie Museum of Art is one of the best art
museums for kids in the country according to Child magazine.
When editors at the magazine conducted a first-ever data-driven
survey to assess the family friendliness of American art museums,
Carnegie Museum of Art ranked in the top five. The museum earned
kudos for free, weekend drop-in artmaking programs for children
and families; gallery play dates for preschool-aged children; art
classes and summer camps for kids of all ages; the Art Cat
mascot and his kid-friendly audio tour; and family-oriented conveniences
including free strollers and kid-friendly dining. News of the ranking
appeared in the March 2006 issue of the magazine. Click
