The Carnegie International in Context: What do the big international shows tell us about contemporary art and culture?
Thurs., May 15

The Carnegie International is only one of many huge survey exhibitions of contemporary art. How is it different from the Venice Biennale, Documenta, the Whitney Biennial and the rest of the pack? Join Vicky Clark, independent curator, to discover why these shows are so successful and what can we learn from them. After lunch, enjoy a docent-led gallery tour of a selection of works in the current International.

Visit Life on Mars, the 2008 Carnegie International to learn more about the exhibit.
